Also, in fruit juices, the pulps are usually removed, which in essence means that the fiber parts of the fruits are being discarded. So all that is left is the high-calories, sugar loaded drink that you should actually avoid! Hence a simple and useful tip is to eat fruits in their natural state instead.   1. I agree ��100% with the article especially on the fruit �� juice. There's a general misconception that fruit juice has "natural" sugar which is not as detrimental to health as "artificial" sugars found in drinks �� like sodas. Yes, fruit juice is more healthy compared to say coca cola as it has some vitamins and minerals derived from the fruit whereas sodas may only have simple sugars without any other nutrients, the so called "empty calories". However, if the objective is to lose weight, fruit juice though it has some nutrients, the amount of sugar far out weighs the benefit of these nutrients. Some fruit juice have equal or more sugar levels as found in sugar sweetened beverages such as coca cola.
